Anywho. I've recently gotten.. very into Soul Eater. Soul ended up being my favorite character xD so I wanted to draw him. I also tried out a new cell shading style. I think it came out very well
Nah, I've gotten to where i can do things pretty quickly. Hmm.. Im really bad at explaining things! Id be a horrible art teacher lol. Is there any specific questions that you have? id be able to answer them better if I know what to think about.
I don't really know. It's just that it seems so difficult to do. I mean, what technique do you use mostly. Do you select a place to shade then put shading on it or lot of layers, etc?
Well you gotta know the basics of shading and all that. How hair goes and where you're light source is gonna be. In SAI i have my smoothness thing set to s-2 for the most part, depending on how careful I have to be. I really just... draw it in there. Like I color in the base color of the skin, then I make a layer clip and do the first layer of shading on that. then i make another layer clip, still on the base skin layer, and make a darker shade. Then I go in and erase certain places to make high lights and add a lighter color for shine. It's hard for me to describe how I do things. I can make some type of tutorial soon or something.
A tutorial would be nice because you are so good at it ._. I hope you know it by the way I do believe I have to study shading before going for the cell shading. Thanks for the info as well.
How much time do you spend on those things?
Still amazing?
By the way, do you have any useful tutorial about cell shading?
